Whilst skin boosters and dermal fillers both contain hyaluronic acid, the difference between is that a skin booster is used specifically to focus and remodel the texture of the skin and re-hydrate the tissue. It creates the appearance of having a filter across the skin that smooths wrinkles, brings brightness and glow to the skin surface and rejuvenates the appearance.
This minimally invasive procedure uses 2ml of hyaluronic acid and takes around 10 minutes to inject. The skin will start to transform for up to 8 weeks after the treatment. Using a specific technique we apply the product in 10 injection points the create the most impact across the face.
Skin boosting treatment usually require a course of 2/3 visits for optimum results.
Younger clients can expect to see results that improve the skins texture and tone with added hydration that creates a healthy glow to the skins appearance. Mature clients also benefit from skin boosters as it helps to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dull or dehydrated skin.
Most commonly they are used for the face, but can also effectively be used for rejuvenating the neck and decollete. Increasingly, the neck is becoming a popular area to have Profhilo or Seventy Hyal, due to its ability to help reduce crepe-like skin and sagginess, and encourage a firmer appearance.
Due to the way that Skin boosters are formulated and injected, it is not a volumising treatment in the same way that dermal fillers are, and is not used to enhance specific areas of the face (e.g. lips) Profhilo is primarily a hydrating treatment, and the Hyaluronic Acid it contains is bonded differently to filler therefore it disperses evenly throughout the face, giving your skin a more plump and firm look overall.
The results from 2/3 Profhilo or Seventy Hyal treatments will most often last from 6-12 months, but results can differ from person to person.
We start losing a significant amount of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid after we reach 30, and it is at this age that we start to consider preventative treatments. If you have noticed your facial tissue quality has dropped, and fine lines and wrinkles are appearing, then a skin booster is a treatment that will benefit you.
After just a single course of Profhilo or Seventy hyal, which involves 2/3 injectable treatments 4 weeks apart (recommended), you can expect to see intense hydration. It makes the skin glow and fine lines disappear. You’ll notice smoother, tighter skin. Even for those with very wrinkled skin, an improvement in the texture is undeniable. The treatment can be repeated after six months in cases where more repair is desired.
To achieve the best long-lasting results, 2 treatments are recommended with a 4 week interval. Some people may see the results within first week, but the best outcomes of the treatment will be visible 4 weeks after the second treatment.
Clients usually range between 25-65. The results for younger clients will be more for skin hydration and illumination of tired or dull looking skin. Whilst more mature clients can expect those same results but an improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Clients will begin to notice a difference in the texture and tone of their skin roughly 1 week post treatment, maximum results will be seen after 2 sessions ( roughly 6 weeks after the initial treatment ) Clients may also top up their treatment a third time to see game changing results!
We recommend no more than 4 sessions per year.
Clients will have have 10 injection sites on their face which can appear as raised blanche's on the skin, similar to the look of a wasp or bee sting. These marks reduce after 4 hours and the most important thing is that clients should not rub or press the areas for those 4 hours post procedure, this is to ensure that it is the muscles that carry the product to the designated area's that need treating and it is not spread manually, disrupting the natural process.

We do not numb the area due to the way numbing agents constrict the blood vessels meaning it may cause difficulty for the technician to precisely place the product into the sub dermis layer of the skin, which could lead to the product being placed in the incorrect layer of the skin which may reduce the effect of the product and its function.
Rough treatment time is around 10 minutes and most clients experience low pain.
There has been no known reactions to Seventy Hyal or Profhilo. Due to the purity of the product it is extremely unlikely to have an adverse reaction to the product. Most clients experience blanching of the skin for 4 hours post treatment, which is normal reaction to the treatment.
