WE NOW OFFER COG THREAD LIFT

This innovative treatment uses biocompatible barbed Threads that are placed under the skin to help lift the tissue and stimulate the bodies collagen production. COG Thread Lifting is the most effective non-surgical treatment for lifting sagging skin and creating an integrated support structure for the tissue.

WE NOW OFFER COG THREAD LIFT

The threads are more commonly placed in the mid and lower face helping to lift the skin and creating more definition to the jawline. This procedure allows for a lifted and more defined appearance without the use of volumising dermal fillers.

FAQ's

We use lidocaine to numb the areas being treated, this makes the procedure comfortable for clients. Some clients may experience discomfort during the days after the procedure.

Results can be seen instantly. The immediate results soften after a few weeks but the lifting will continue up to 6 months post treatment as the collagen production is stimulated.

Risks include temporary swelling, bruising, redness and rippling of the skin. Any injectable treatment can have a risk of infection, this is minimised due to the sterile products being used and the hygiene standards of clinical environment. There is a potential risk of temporary nerve damage swell as negligible risk of scarring.

Results give a natural looking lift to the tissue and is a great alternative for those seeking a more natural anti-ageing solution in place of surgery.

Results last anywhere between 6-12 months. Treatment can be repeated after 8-12 weeks for a further lifted appearance. Results are not permanent.

Downtime can be up to two weeks. The initial swelling and bruising can take roughly 7-10 days to recover.

Smoking and all kinds of alcohol must be avoided for at least one week before the procedure as they can dehydrate the skin and effect the anaesthetic step. It helps in speeding the recovery process and providing the best treatment results. Avoid consuming omega fish oils, vitamin E, chilli ginseng, garlic, krill, and other such supplements at least two days before the treatment. It is best to avoid green and ginger teas as well. Aspirin-based products, like Naproxen/Naprogesic, Neurofen, and Ibuprofen, must be avoided in the lead up to treatment as they can cause bleeding, unwanted side effects and complications. Avoid performing high-intensity exercises and going to a sauna or steam room. Reschedule any dental appointments post treatment for 4 weeks time. You may need to schedule time off work for down time. This is up to the client but be aware there is a risk of mild/ moderate / severe swelling and bruising immediately post treatment that could be tender or cause some self confidence issues for around 1 weeks.

After treatment there may be redness, swelling, puckering, bruising and soreness in the treated area. This is a normal result of the product/injections – the inconvenience is temporary and will settle. Your face will feel tight, with a pulling sensation, for 2-3 weeks after treatment. This is normal and will settle down gradually over time. You may take paracetamol for pain if required, but avoid ibuprofen or aspirin, which can lead to more bruising. Avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours, and stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Avoid extreme heat or cold in the area for 2 weeks eg sauna, ice directly on the skin. Wrapped cool packs are the exception to this and can help with swelling. DO NOT soak your sutures in a bath, jacuzzi, swimming pool or other body of water for 14 days. Showers are permitted, but avoid hot showers for 48 hours. Avoid vigorous physical activity for 2 weeks. Keep your head elevated to 30 degrees for the first 3 nights after treatment. Avoid any direct pressure on your face where the sutures are placed for 3 weeks after treatment eg avoid sleeping on your face. Limit facial movements to a minimum for at least 2 weeks eg avoid excessive chewing, talking, yawning, smiling, dental work. Avoid infection by cleansing the incision points daily with cool, boiled water for 7 days. Use an SPF 30 and above to avoid any post-inflammatory pigmentation. Avoid any facial massaging for 2 weeks. Avoid blood thinning herbs or vitamins eg Vitamin E for 7 days. Avoid flossing your teeth for 2 weeks as it puts excessive strain on your sutures. NB this applies to facial threads, not brow threads. You may have another treatment of 4-6 weeks after this one if required. PDO Threads are absorbed by the skin over time. Most clients choose to be treated again 12-18 months after the original treatment. Please contact us if you are concerned about your treatment or have questions.

The threads have a feathered/teethed appearance and work by acting like a velcro to lift the skin without the need for sutures. A cannula is used to insert the threads and they are then tightened at the end of the procedure. The threads dissolve over time and the collagen build up will help to create a longer term lift to the skin.

Women who are pregnant. Women who are in the fitness industry who are unable to avoid strenuous exercise for 2 weeks post treatment. Those who are clinically obese are discouraged from having this treatment.

For those wanting a more exaggerated look we suggest a second treatment 8-12 weeks after the first procedure. For maintenance we recommend 6-12 months after the initial treatment. Results will last longer with annual or bi-annual treatment.

From The People

His knowledge in his specialist fields and beyond, have helped me so much with the issues I have had. I have gone in with pain and he's instantly known what the problem is and put it right whilst explaining how/what's caused it. The combination of being extremely accomplished in both osteopathy and cranio sacral therapy is a gold dusted godsend. I always feel completely at ease and completely confident when going to Ross with issues.

After 6months of pain in my shoulder. I attended Ross' clinic. It was a very provisional and calm environment. After explaining my issues i had been suffering Ross was able to diagnosis and fix the problem. There was no pressure of a follow up visit as Ross was confident I was now sorted... and he was right. Cannot recommend this guy high enough. Cheers
